Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service:
- Greet customers warmly and provide a positive shopping experience.
- Answer customer questions about bakery products, ingredients, and pricing.
- Recommend products and assist with order placement.
- Cash Handling and Transactions:
- Operate cash registers and point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately.
- Process payments (cash, credit, debit) and issue receipts.
- Handle cash and other tenders accurately and provide correct change.
- Balance cash drawers at the end of shifts.
- Bakery Operations:
- Weigh, price, and package baked goods.
- Assist with restocking bakery items and inventory management.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area.
- May assist with basic baking tasks or cleaning.
